Why the hell does it look like this?

This website was created to directly mirror and parody sites of the mid 90s. In particular, it draws inspiration from the Dole/Kemp '96 presidential campaign website. The similarities are quite obvious. (I stole a lot of code...)

I plan to flesh out more of the site in my free time, especially the tools and interactive sections. "Tools" will feature an assortment of most likely math or writing tools, like formula solvers, word/character counters, etc. "Interactive" is going to be filled with games such as blackjack, minesweeper, or anything else I can fit into JS, HTML, and CSS.

Apologies that the bulk of this whole site seems so inaccessible, it just kinda needs to be to pull off "the look". At least, with my current skill level, I can only pull off "the look" with it being poorly formatted. Though, I don't have an excuse for never using alt text on my images. (Update 12/8/2024, fixed!) The only 100% improvement I've made is using Arial font instead of the default Times New Roman which is frankly disgusting to look at after so much time.
